If you want to keep yourself hydrated, flush out excess toxins and maintain healthy organs, nothing better than drinking plain water. But many times we need an extra boost of energy that you can have in between meals. Earlier beverages were only limited to energy drinks, tea or coffee  but COVID Pandemic has made people more concerned with their health and definitely now we need more than this.

So, here I am sharing some of the healthiest drink that is not only good for heart but  will also help you to reduce stress, increase memory power, improve digestion, manage weight and boost your immunity.

1. Coffee without sugar - Coffee is rich in antioxidants that has heart healthy benefits. Many studies has suggested that coffee consumption is associated with reduced risk of  chronic diseases, including type 2 diabetes mellitus and liver disease. You can drink 2-3 cups of coffee in a day.

2. Jaggery Almond Lassi - Lassi is our favorite beverages in summer. Lassi is a probiotic drink with  lots of healthy bacteria that helps to improve digestion. The bacteria increases in number if we add little sweetener like jaggery to it. You can top it with chopped almonds to increase its nutritive value.  But remember one thing that never add salt to it as it will kill all the bacteria present in lassi and you will not be able to enjoy its probiotic effect.

3. Ashwagandha tea - Ashwagan lowering blood sugardha, has long been used for improving memory power, reducing stress, and lowering blood sugar. So next time if you want something to destress try Ashwagandha green tea or you can prepare your own Ashwagandha tea. To make your own Ashwagandha tea, add 1tsp of ashwagandha root powder in 1 cup of boiling water. Switch off the flame and let it infuse for 10-15 min. Strain in a cup and your Ashwagandha tea is ready.

4. Sattu water - If you want something filling which can even help you in weight loss then you can definitely try Sattu water. Sattu is prepared with either kala channa or jau and both of them are beneficial for health.  Channa sattu is rich in protein and fiber and have cooling properties. To prepare sattu water Just add 2tbsp of sattu powder in a glass of water and spice it with lemon juice and  little rock salt for taste.

5. Mushroom tea - Mushroom is only vegetarian source of Vitamin D. Some of the species of mushroom like Reishi mushroom or Ganoderma Lucidum has also been studied for its anticancer and anti - tumor properties. To prepare mushroom tea, heat little butter in a pan, add mushrooms and cook on a slow flame for 4-5 min . Add 2 cups of water, salt and pepper and cook for another 5 min. Your mushroom tea is ready.

6. Orange juice - We all know that oranges are rich in Vitamin C which helps to strengthen our immune system. Drinking orange juice increases the absorption of its nutrients. So, it is better to take orange juice instead of taking whole orange.

7. Arjun tea - Arjun tea is best for those who has complaint of high blood pressure or want to keep their heart healthy. Bark of Arjun tree or Arjun chhall is also known as heart tonic. To prepare Arjun tea, add 1tsp of Arjun Bark powder in 2 cups of boiling water and cook it till water becomes half. Strain it and drink it hot.

8. Coconut water - If you are feeling weak or dehydrated, coconut water is best for you. It helps to balance your electrolytes and helps to  improve kidney function.

9. Smoothies - If you want to gain some weight then you must add smoothies to your diet. You can prepare your own banana smoothie, mango smoothie, berry smoothie etc. Add almonds, walnuts and some raisins to increase its nutritive value.
